Our Service
Places still available for September 2020!
Whilst I run the business as a Preschool It is based on domestic premises and therefore I am still categorised as a Childminder. I am therefore able to offer a fantastic ratio of 1:3, looking after 3 children at a time.
I offer places to children over 2 years of age and I aim to have similar aged children in the setting on the same days, in order that their needs are met fully.
The setting will be open Tuesday - Wednesday.
I offer Free Entitlement Funding to all 3 and 4 year olds and 2 year olds who are eligible for 15 or 30 hours, I offer places free at the point of contact with Free Entitlement Funding which includes activities and resources. You will be required to provide a packed lunch. If you do not choose to use your hours at our setting or for any additional hours over your Free Entitlement Funding hours, I charge £5.00 an hour. I invoice monthly one month in advance.
I currently offer a school pick up service from Hilperton Primary School.
I use an online learning journal, 'Famly'. I endeavour to update these observations throughout the day so you get a real time account of what your child is busy doing. As a parent of a child at Preschool, I know how wonderful it is to see these observations whilst your child is away from you, in order that you can discuss their activities with them when you collect. If you wish for your child's observations to be printed termly you can request this and they will be kept in a file with your child's long term assessments. I also send photos through WhatsApp during the day.
We also have a Preschool bear called Lottie, who all children will have an opportunity to take home. The idea is that your child can share what they have been doing at the weekend or over the holidays through photos taken with Lottie Bear.
The Ipad can also be loaned to be used in your home to support your child's development through the Apps loaded onto it. This is thanks to the Area Board Grant that Trowbridge Childminding Network received. Story Bags which contain a story and supporting puppets, soft toys and activities can also be taken home as can Busy Bags, which contain activities such as shapes to make patterns with, fishing games to develop number recognition or letter matching activities.
