Another fun day outdoors!
There is so much on offer for children at Dyram Park. Today we had a ride on the tractor, walked around the hey maze, searched for deer, became nature detectives looking under stones, leaves, and logs, for insects and bugs, did tree rubbings, had a picnic, rolled down a big hill, rode on the bus, hid inside a big tree and did lots and lots of walking. We all had a great time.

I like blackberries!
We had good fun picking blackberries in the fields near the house. We have a convert to blackberries. Joseph tried them for the first time, and they were a hit. We’re not slow The children aren’t slow when we get to slow worms. Much fun is had crawling over, up and onto things, bouncing on the tramploline, hanging out on the beam, swimming around in the ball pool. It’s the next step up from baby gym, which focuses on developing flexability, strength and a fearless attitude to being upside down. I can drive my trac’or
There’s something for all ages at Hilperton Park, from great baby swings to a tractor climbing frame equipped with it’s own steering wheel for role playing fun. It’s a lovely walk there and back as well. We love having fun outside. Let’s get Mooveing It’s always great fun meeting up with other childminders and their children. Today we went to Moove with Tom and Janine and Amanda and their children and to see the horses and ducks by the canal with Amanda. It enables the children to socialise with and get to know new children in small numbers. Mmm… the feel of jelly between our toes Tweeneys is a really great under five’s group in Bradford on Avon, where the toddlers can explore freely the many activities on offer, including sand and messy play. Today we squelched in some jelly and made marks in some gloop. There’s a great baby section too with lots of sensory stimulation. Teddy bears picnic After a lovely family day out here at Southwick Country Park we plan to bring our teddies and a picnic next spring. Ball games and farmyard fun will be on the agenda. Another stamp in the passport We’re well on our way to getting our first certificate for Rhyme Time with another stamp collected for the passport today. It’s so much fun singing the nursery rhymes and using the musical instruments. There’s always time to play on the train and with the bead rollercoasters afterwards too. We’ve been fishing for pasta Thanks to Beth and Deborah at under 5’s group for such a lovely morning. We’ll definitely be going back next week. We always get such a warm welcome a snack and a drink and there’s so much to do. The sensory room was a big hit this week. There’s always messy play too. This week we went fishing for pasta. The children did not want to leave, so thanks to Beth and Debbie. Mud pie anyone?
What a beautiful day out in the sunshine exploring the stunning gardens, playing Peekaboo, hide and seek and discovering the wonderful forest school garden. We made mud pies, mmmm, yummy! Played on the wooden xylophone, read a story in the story telling area, looked for bugs in the bug hotel, found pond snails in the pond, and hid in some dens. We can’t wait to go back. Furthermore we’re going to introduce some of the ideas into our own garden. Get exploring everyone |
